Internal Communications Brilliance Awards 2015 was hosted by Guy Perry, Communication Expert and former BBC reporter. The award celebrated some of the most innovative businesses, as well as personal achievements across various industries.
We would also like to thank all of our category judges for their commendable efforts in this difficult but highly enjoyable and inspiring process.
Hearty congratulations to all those who made it to the final stage of the judging process. The competition was fierce and the standards were extremely high. All the finalists must be commended however there can only be one winner in each category.
Best Internal Communications Campaign – Judges were looking for IC campaign that has engaged and successfully integrated internal stakeholders such as managers, employees, etc. to promote corporate objectives, whether in the public or the private sector.
WINNER – RARE
Campaign - Engaging a global workforce: Refreshing Serco's Code of Conduct
Their work on the Serco Code of Conduct was more than just an announcement or a revision of an existing communication – it was an entire campaign rework, rebuild, and reengagement with employees
The Code of Conduct was essential to connecting with employees and not only reminding them of the standards required to work at Serco, but engaging with them to show how these standards should be applied in their everyday work – in every market in which Serco operated.
IC Team of the Year - Judges were looking for evidence of a Team Effort and bottom line contribution through enhanced partnerships with the wider business functions. This award recognises the IC team who have excelled within their function and across the organisation.
WINNER: AIB
As a small team with a limited budget they have achieved a lot in the past 12 months. They’ve invested time and effort in ensuring people understand where AIB is going and the part they play in that. Their 2014 engagement survey showed the highest annual increase that Gallup has ever seen in Europe. They have partnered with the business and worked together to drive ownership of this important area.
IC Professional of the year- the award in this category was judged against four key criteria: Professionalism: consistently meeting or exceeding challenging objectives, demonstrating a quality approach through personal values and working practices. Innovation: used innovative approaches to enhance their organisation. Role model: provided an example to peers or colleagues of the importance of the role of IC in the organisation. Measurable success: has delivered quantifiable benefits to their organisation through involvement with IC initiatives in the past year and can demonstrate personal development to enhance their ability to succeed in future.

Howard has worked in the world of employee communications for over 25 years.
